Grant Application Guidelines
Although many requests fall within our guidelines and certainly merit support, this Foundation is only able to make grant awards to a limited number of organizations each year. All Foundation grants are to be used exclusively for charitable public benefit purposes.
Continuing long-term support is not the intent of McMillan Childrens Foundation grantmaking.
Tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code known as nonprofit public charities, and not a private foundation under 509(a) of the Code.
International charities that are not registered 501(c)(3) may be considered on a special basis.
The McMillan Childrens Foundation reserves the right to make an award without further discussion and reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.
Reviewers will objectively evaluate the merit of the proposal based on the goal, objectives, and expected outcomes.
This foundation does not directly administer the programs it funds.
The recipients are asked to submit yearly progress reports and a financial accounting concerning the expenditures of the foundation grant.
